Cook your ceramic correctly.
Ceramic paint baking.
Allow the oven to come to temperature for about 10 minutes then bake the mug for 30 minutes.
Place the freshly painted mug in a cold oven.
Bake dishes that have been hand painted with ceramic paint.
Bake for 30 minutes.
This includes baking the cake before applying food safe enamel and paint.
If the sponge cake is poor it can create problems with the enamel and the adequacy of the piece that result in cracking of the enamel or defects in the surface of the same such as small holes according to orton ceramics.
When the 30 minutes is up turn off the oven but leave the mug inside.
If it doesn t fluff up much and you would like a thicker texture i suggest adding a little extra baking powder.
Allow the oven and mug to cool together completely.
Then bake it in an oven according to the manufacturer s instructions.
Be sure to turn off the oven after the specified time and let the item cool completely before removing it.
Do not preheat the oven because the mug may crack or shatter if it does not gradually heat.
Add the baking powder.
While a sealant will work for some glazed ceramics others need to be baked in order to make them dishwasher safe.
Use a brush to apply it to your vase or anything else you would like to paint.
Turn off the oven.
If you chose to paint a dish with a paint pen or acrylic paint for ceramics set it aside to dry for 24 hours.
Turn the oven onto bake at 360.
